Barranco Longo Rosé 2020, from Algarve

Quinta do Barranco Longo is located in the heart of the Algarve, headed by the producer Rui Virgínia.

The vineyard with a terroir of clay-limestone soil and more than 3000 hours of sun per year, provides fine grapes. And the use of cutting-edge equipment and innovative winemaking methods, along with the work of a qualified team of professionals result in exceptional quality wines.

This rosé was made of Aragonez and Touriga Nacional grape varieties, from the vintage of 2020.

The wine presents a beautiful deep salmon color in the glass.

Brilliant fruity bouquet on the nose, with intense aromas of strawberry in an excellent combination with tropical fruits such as papaya.

On the palate, tastes follow the nose. Fruity and refreshing with crisp acidity and slight tannins. Young, light wine in very good harmony. Nice and fresh finish with red fruit feeling and quite a lot of acidity.

Alcohol 11,5% vol.

It the best to consume this wine at a temperature of 10-12 °C.

Great drink as an aperitif, but pairs well with tomato-based dishes with green spices, olives, and characteristic seafood like lobster, salmon and tuna, but is also good with grilled chicken and turkey. It’s great with French cheeses like Camembert and Brie, as long as they’re not too ripe.

Great summer wine that is not to be missed!
