Esteva 2018 red wine was produced by Casa Ferreirinha in the Douro wine region of Portugal.
Casa Ferreirinha was founded in the 18th century by Bernardo Ferreira, who saw the formula refined by his descendants, especially by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who was affectionately known as “Ferreirinha” by the people. Through the hands of Dona Antónia, who was twice a widow and found herself at the head of a large company, Ferreira consolidated itself admirably. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to foresee, decide, create, teach and love, making her a figure of great projection and charisma.
Esteva is part of the wine range of the Casa Ferreirinha. This brand with the longest tradition in producing quality wines from the Douro and one of the greatest world references in this region.

This drink is a blend of traditional red grape varieties from the region, with Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional.
The wine presents a medium ruby color and very intense and harmonious aromas.
On the nose, a blend of oaky and red fruits, such as strawberry, raspberry, cherry, red currant and plum, with some cedar, tobacco and leather. It shows also floral nuances with the smell of violet.
On the palate, a finely structured wine, with a smooth attack of well-integrated tannins, combined with a balanced acidity that gives freshness to the wine. Dominant flavors of delicious, fresh fruits fill your mouth, with a hint of bitterness from the oaky components.
The wine has an elegant and harmonious, long finish.
Winemaking: the grapes were harvested at the ideal maturity for this style of wine, in order to preserve the natural acidity. Harvested by hand and crushed, and then fermented in stainless steel, with pumping and skin maceration, at a controlled temperature. After maceration, malolactic fermentation.
It has 13% alcohol content.
This versatile wine is ideal for all types of poultry, sausages, smoked pork, cheeses, some fishes, such as cod, and a variety of pasta and rich salads.
Should be consumed at 15-17 °C temperature.
Esteva is a young wine, rich in fruit aromas with floral touches. Ideal for everyday life. A dry red wine that evolves very well in the glass, and asks for a few minutes before tasting.
