Cavalo Bravo Reserva 2018, Tejo

Cavalo Bravo Reserva 2018 is a dry red wine, made by the Parras Wines winery in the Tejo region of Portugal.

Ribatejo (Tejo) can be considered the birthplace of the Lusitano Horse, which is mounted around 5000 years ago, the oldest saddle horse in the world reaches the threshold of the 21st century, regaining the splendor of two thousand years ago when Greeks and Romans recognized him as the best saddle horse of antiquity.

This region is also the birthplace of great wines with a Lusitanian soul.

This blended wine was made from the Castelão, Tinta Roriz & Touriga Nacional grape varieties.

Deep ruby-colored wine, with aromas of black berries, black cherry and dried plum, accompanied with some jammy fruits, on the nose. Typical signs of maturation in the barrel, such as chocolate, robust vanilla and a touch of oak.

On the palate, this is a medium-bodied drink with slight tannins and low acidity. A well-balanced wine with a short finish is filled with hints of bitterness.

Winemaking: from chosen grapes, vinified in small lagares with temperature control (24-26ºC) after previous cold skin maceration for 24 hours. It aged in oak for 6 months and in bottle for 2 months.

Cavalo Bravo Reserva 2018 is an easy-drinking wine with 13,5% alcohol content,
