The Comissão Vitivinícola Regional Alentejana (CVRA) – Alentejo Regional Winegrowing Commission – was founded in 1989 to certify, controll and protect the Alentejo PDO and Alentejano PGI wines. It is also responsible for promoting the Alentejo wines both domestically and in selected international markets.

In this tasting room in Évora, you will have a chance not only to learn about wine tourism in the Alentejo but to taste the best Alentejo wines, in a surprising and educational journey across the wide range of terroirs and Alentejo grape varieties.

The Commission’s intention is that you will also discover other aspects of regional culture and customs in Alentejo, including the buildings and monuments, the local crafts, the cultural and tourist events, the gastronomy and the people.

The cost of the tasting is €5 per person, and no advanced booking is necessary.
