Paço do Bispo 2019 – Palmela DOC is a dry red wine, bottled by SIVIPA S.A., in Palmela region of the Setúbal wine region of Portugal.
SIVIPA – Sociedade Vinícola de Palmela, SA was created in 1964 by a group of winegrowers with the aim of bottling the wines of their productions and placing them on the market. And since the 90s, Sivipa is a company with a great reputation in the production of wines and muscatels.
The wine was made from the Castelão grape variety, which is widely planted in Portugal.
The drink has a pale purple color.
On the nose, strong aromas of red forest fruits, red currants, strawberry, cherry and plum, blended with smoky flavors and coffee.
On the palate, easy-drinking, young wine with soft tannins. After some breathing comes smooth, sophisticated taste. Intense fruity flavors in a medium finish. A light-bodied wine with higher (14%) alcohol content.
Pairing well with any seafood (try it with octopus ) or chicken meals.
