Adegamãe White Blend 2019, from Lisboa

Adegamãe White Blend 2019 was produced by the Adega Mãe winery in the Lisboa wine region of Portugal.

Raised by the Alves family, AdegaMãe is born as a tribute from the men to the family’s matriarch, Manuela Alves. North from Lisbon and just a step away from the ocean, AdegaMãe brings out the best of a terroir strongly influenced by the prevailing sea breezes, standing out for its Atlantic-inspired wines, brimming with character, freshness and minerality. The winery stands out for its modern architecture and the quality of its wines.

The wine is a perfect blend of Chardonnay (33%) and the Portuguese native Arinto (67%) grape varieties.

A medium-straw colored wine.

On the nose, aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, green apple and white peach. With some floral notes, chamomile and vanilla.

On the palate, light-bodied wine with a strong presence of citrus flavors, which confirm the aromas in the mouth with a slightly sour taste. A fresh wine with pleasant acidity, good minerality and a very smooth, creamy finish.

A great regional, dry white wine from Lisboa with balanced alcohol (13%).

Due to its lemon zest-like flavors, this wine is matching well with seafood or the famous Portuguese salty Bacalhau (cod), or any creamy, buttery flavors, even lobster.

Cheers!
