Touriga Nacional Rosé 2019 by Maçanita Wines, from Douro wine region of Portugal. Maçanita Wines is a project of two brothers and two oenologists.
This is a rosé wine for real rosé lovers! The drink is made from 100% Touriga Nacional which is the most famous and used grape variety in Portugal, even in the Douro wine region.
It has a medium salmon color. Great presence of fruits on the nose, fresh red berries aromas, cherry and strawberry, accompanied with watermelon and cherry blossom. Drinking this wine, you can feel the floral and mineral sides of Touriga which is also called the „king of Portuguese grapes”.
On the palate, juicy, fruity and fresh, with beautiful texture and perfect balance. Good acidity, minerality, medium finish with a hint of bitterness.
The grapes were manually harvested, and the bunches were carefully selected. Then the grapes are gently crushed and transported to the fermentation vats without the help of pumps. Fermented spontaneously and slowly in order to maintain its full aromatic potential.
Pair it with seafood, salads or white meat dishes. Or just drink it to yourself!
This is a fresh, dry, attractive rosé wine with good structure, some elegance and 12,5% alcohol level.
