Beyra Vinhos de Altitude 2017 from Beira Interior

Beyra Vinhos de Altitude 2017 from Beyra’s vineyard, located on the Beira Interior wine region. Here the wines reach great complexity, in a mix of their intensity, minerality, freshness and elegance.

This dry red wine has a deep ruby color and was made from the native Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. These grapes were planted in granite and schist soils with quartz veins, at an average altitude of 700 meters above sea level.

Fresh floral-fruity aromas on the nose, black berries, prunes, spices, violet, and a bit of cedar, accompanied with balsamic notes. On the palate, a beautifully elegant and a very discreet wine with low acidity and light tannins in a short finish.

The drink has 13,5 % of alcohol level.

Vinification: hand-picked grapes, reception with full destemming, then crushing and cooling. Fermentation for 7 days with smooth maceration. Aged for 1 year in stainless steel vats until bottling.

Pairing well with steak, lamb, burgers, or blue cheese.

Cheers from Portugal!
