The name of ‘Vale dos Pecados‘ means Valley of Sins, and the apple is the symbol of the story of Adam and Eve, who remained in humanity associated with sin and temptation but also symbolizes knowledge and wisdom.
This white wine is a blend of the Antão Vaz, Roupeiro and Arinto grape varieties, and was produced by the Parras Wines, in the Alentejo wine region of Portugal.
The drink has a medium yellow color with golden reflections on its edge.
On the nose, fresh citrus aromas, lemon and lime, reinforced with lemon zest, grapefruit and a hint of tobacco, accompanied with some green apple.
On the palate, also intense citric fruit flavors of the Roupeiro grape, supported by some mineral and earthy notes, and maybe a bit of chamomille from the Arinto grape.
Fruity, good, dry structure in a medium, creamy finish.
Fresh and light wine, a slightly acidic. One of the most popular Alentejo white wines.
13% ABV.
Winemaking: the grapes were picked early morning, destemmed, and kept in cold maceration for one day. The clarified must is fermented at controlled temperatures in a steel vat. After clarification and filtration, was bottled to keep its freshness and fruity character.
The wine is perfectly matched with any seafood and fishes, especially the famous Portuguese bacalhau (codfish).
Consume it chill and fresh!
Saúde (Cheers)!
