AdegaMãe Dory 2020, from Lisboa

This Dory 2020 is a red wine, produced by the AdegaMãe winery in the Lisboa wine region of Portugal.

In Torres Vedras, in the west of Portugal, an enterprising family fulfilled the old dream of building a winery to celebrate the historical heritage of the region, strongly marked by the culture of vineyards and wine. AdegaMãe was born as a tribute from men to the matriarch, Manuela Alves, as well.

Recognized for its exclusive architecture, and for the way it harmonizes with the fantastic surrounding landscape, AdegaMãe was designed to integrate the best visiting experience, assuming itself as a reference in wine tourism in the Lisbon Wine Region.

North of Lisbon, the terroir is strongly influenced by the prevailing sea breezes, standing out for its Atlantic-inspired wines, full of character, fresh and mineral, awarded nationally and internationally.

This Dory red wine is a blend of the Touriga Nacional, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Aragonez grape varieties, made by the winemakers Anselmo Mendes and Diogo Lopes. The grapes were growing on clay-limestone soil. After cold pre-fermentation maceration, fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Then, partial aging in used French oak barrels.

The wine presents a bright ruby color.

Beautiful aromatic intensity on the nose, with a mixture of violet, black berry fruits, cassis, and spices of pepper notes.

On the palate, it is a juicy wine with fruit reappearing. Very elegant with a good body but greedy tannins. Round and persistent finish.

A seductive red wine with a 13% alcohol content.

With its aromatic intensity and rich palate and returning fruity notes that make it truly exciting and greedy, this is a gastronomic red wine that honors the Portuguese heritage of cod fishing.

Waiting to be paired with roasted or oven-baked, scrumptious cod fish dishes. But this wine is suited also for a late afternoon with friends, having any grilled meat.
