Vinea Tinto 2018 by Cartuxa, from Alentejo

Vinea is a dry, red wine, produced by the Cartuxa winery in the Alentejo wine region of Portugal.

This garnet-colored wine is a blend of the Aragonez, Trincadeira, Alicante Bouschet and Syrah grape varieties.

On the nose, it presents aromas of ripe and lush dark fruits such as raspberry, cherry, blackberry, with jammy notes and some dried fruits, raisin and prune. These aromas are complemented by earthy notes with leather and oak.

On the palate, light-bodied wine with simple and discreet tannins and correct acidity. A smooth, balanced drink with a good structure and a nice, fruity and slightly dry finish.

This Portuguese red is a young wine that is ready to be consumed. Ideal for both day to day and also more informal occasions.

It has 13,5% alcohol content.

Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 24-27 ºC. After fermentation was filtrated, blended, tartaric and protein stabilized and bottled.

The wine is pairing well with pasta and fish dishes or grilled cheeses.

Consume at 16-18 °C temperature.
