Fiuza 3 Castas 2019, from Tejo region

If you are searching for a really light summertime Chardonnay, I offer one to you now.

Fiuza 3 Castas is a white wine, produced by the Fiuza & Bright Lda., located in the Tejo region of Portugal.

Created in 1985, Fiuza & Bright results from the partnership between a family of a centuries-old tradition in viticulture – Fiuza – and the internationally renowned Australian winemaker, Peter Bright. The company has developed a range of monovarietal wines. Today, these varieties are also crossed with the best native grapes, creating truly unique wines. These grapes are grown in clay and limestone-clay soils in Portugal, and harvested manually and mechanically, ensuring the production of high-quality wines.

As printed on the cork, “Life is too short to drink bad wine”. Although life is too short… but this is not a bad wine.

The drink was made from 3 grape varieties, Arinto, Fernão Pires and Chardonnay, which gives very unique aromas to the wine.

This blend presents a pale straw color and fruity aromas with floral notes, on the nose. Tropical fruits with crisp apple and lemon flavors. The Chardonnay is clearly present, you can feel its charm, which stands out. On the mouth, this is a dry wine with medium-plus acidity and flavors of white grapes. Fruity and pleasant taste with a touch of honey but without the sweetness. A good mixture of citrus and Chardonnay.

A light, fresh, young wine with a short finish and 12 % of alcohol content.

This wine pairs well with shrimp or any seafood, cured fish and light dishes.

A light-bodied, fresh and fruity summertime wine. Ideal for summer afternoons.

Saúde! (Cheers)
