Moscatel de Setúbal by Adega de Pegões

The Moscatel de Setúbal is a dessert wine from Portugal. This unique drink was made from well mature 100% Moscatel de Setúbal white grape variety by the winery called Adega de Pegões.

Meet this full-bodied Portuguese Muscat wine with amber color, from DO Setúbal where the grapes were grown on sandy soil which is full of water and on a Mediterranean climate.

Intense aromas of golden raisin, apricot, orange blossom with some oakiness on the nose, as well as honey, orange zest and some prunes on the palate, with a medium, hot, caramel finish.

Good, tartaric acidity and a pleasant light side to its sweetness. Well balanced between sweetness and freshness.

17,5% ABV.

The grape is harvested in late August, in a very ripe state. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures, then light pelicular maceration until March of the following year. Aged in French and American oak barrels.

Muscat wines of Adega de Pegões were voted the best in the world more times so far.

Drink as an aperitif or with all kinds of sweets and desserts. Serve on 14-16 C temperature.

Keep until a maximum of 30 years!
