370 Léguas, from Douro

With its unique and unmistakable landscape, the Douro Valley was classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2001.

Although particularly difficult to work with, its soils are excellent for the longevity of the vineyards and allow the production of very concentrated, unique wines.

This wine was produced by Parras Wines. Descended from a father and grandfather who have always worked with wine, Luís Vieira is the sole owner of this project. His adventure with the wine began at the age of five, when he fell into a wine vat and almost drowned, had it not been for a collaborator of his grandfather, who is currently his collaborator, saving him. Today, he jokes when he recalls this episode that this funny story symbolizes his ‘baptism in the wanderings of wine’.

The brand ‘370 Léguas’ refers to the demarcation line of the Treaty of Tordesillas, which divided Portuguese land from Spanish land.

This wine from the Douro, the oldest demarcated region in the world, pays homage to this historical fact.

It was made with three typical grapes harvested on the region’s best slopes: Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, and Tinta Roriz.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, the grapes gave us this beautiful ruby-colored wine that presents very ripe aromas of black plum and black cherry, with floral and light woody notes.

On the palate, soft tannins reveal good ripeness of the grapes. Medium body, good acidity, and flavors of red and ripe fruits.

A really delicious red wine that will delight you any time.
