Let’s taste another great Portuguese rosé wine!
Cancellus Premium Rosé from the Douro Valley, produced by the Adega Cooperativa de Vila Real.
The winery was founded in 1955, and it is today one of the most important cooperatives in the Douro with more than 1000 members, representing more than 1500 ha of vineyards. They produce several wine brands that are market leaders, which has been confirmed by great awards achieved both in Portugal and abroad.
This DOC wine is a blend of the Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cão grape varieties.
The grapes were harvested manually and fermented in stainless steel vats with temperature control.
The wine presents a deep salmon color.
It has an intense and fresh aroma of red fruits, notes of cherry, strawberry, crisp raspberries, and some apples, with a slight floral touch.
Fresh and enveloping on the palate, with a lively acidity where persistent notes of raspberry stand out, with a touch of sweetness of the fig.
Balanced and harmonious rosé wine. Good, medium finish with mineral hints.
Alc. 12,5% Vol.
Should consume at a temperature of 8 °C.
Great to accompany salads and snacks on these last hot summer days.
