Porta da Ravessa Reserva Red, from Alentejo

Porta da Ravessa Reserva – a regional red wine from the Alentejo wine region of Portugal.

Adega Cooperativa de Redondo has been dedicated to Alentejo wines since 1956. Now, located in the heart of Alentejo, right in the Redondo subregion, the winery’s wines come from grapes from around 200 associated producers.

Porta da Ravessa means ‘alley door’ in Portuguese. This brand inspired by the iconic door of the centuries-old Castelo de Redondo, where there are still visible the marks of the rod and the cubit. Porta da Ravessa materializes the historical heritage and identity of this region.

This Reserve red wine is obtained from the Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties, fermented in stainless steel tanks and followed by 6 months of aging in French oak wood.

The wine presents an intense ruby color.
On the nose, aromas of forest fruits and blackberry jam, combined with soft nuances of vanilla and tobacco leaves.

On the palate, it reveals excellent volume and persistence. Rich and intense flavor with a vibrant texture, resulting in a long and persistent finish.

It pairs well with meat dishes and sheep’s cheese.
