The wine in my hand is the very refreshing Lagosta rosé from the Vinho Verde wine region in Portugal.
This drink is made by Enoport Wines which brought together some of the oldest and most emblematic Portuguese wine companies with national and international recognition. The group has 10 wine estates spread across the country’s various wine regions, covering a total of 400 ha of land and 4 winemaking centers. They are currently present in 42 countries and have shown strong growth in foreign markets.
The wine is a blend of the Espadeiro (50%), Borraçal (30%) and Padeiro (20%) grape varieties, produced by total destemming, light pressing, and alcoholic fermentation at 15°C.
This rosé presents a very nice, deep pink color.
The wine has slight floral and well-marked notes of strawberry on the nose.
Although it gives off a pleasant, acidic strawberry scent, the wine tastes sweet on the palate. Surprisingly very fresh, slightly spritz wine also thanks to the reduced alcohol level (10,5%). Crunchy acidity balanced by some sweetness.
It is a young, easy wine, suitable to accompany everyday life and all relaxing moments.
It should be served well chilled (6°C) or with ice.
Drink it as an aperitif or with Mediterranean cuisines such as fish, seafood, white meats, or sushi.
A perfect wine to share with friends.
This historic brand has reinvented itself thinking of the young and trendy consumer who enjoys the good moments of life in the company of a fresh and light wine.
