Vidigueira Premium 2019 from the Alentejo DOC in Portugal, produced by Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira.
The cooperative winery of Vidigueira started its activity in 1963 as a result of the dream and effort of some winegrowers in the Vidigueira subregion of Alentejo, based on the experience of tradition and the recognition of reinvention, supported by a recognized quality. The Adega Cooperativa of Vidigueira has some interesting wines.
This Premium red wine was made from the Trincadeira, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties.
Manual harvesting, selection of grapes at the entrance to the cellar and fermentation in vats at controlled temperature. Aging for 6 months in French and American oak barrels.
Beautiful deep purple color in the glass.
Intense aromas of dark fruits on the nose, blackberry, plum and blueberry, mixed with some notes of tobacco, vanilla and pepper.
On the palate, intense smoky-sweet flavors in full harmony with pleasant fruits.
A full-bodied and elegant wine with medium, not too harsh tannins and a significant acid boost before the long and quite dry finish.
14,5% ABV.
Serve this wine at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
Pairing well with barbecue, grilled vegetables, exotic spices, dark meats, gyros, Asian foods, pork and the Indian tandoori.
A well-balanced, tasty Alentejo wine!
