Talabira do Algarve is an award-winning dry red wine from Algarve, made from Touriga Nacional and Syrah at a family-owned company, that is present in more regions of Portugal. The Casa Santos Lima wine company is one of the most awarded Portuguese wineries.
Talabira do Algarve is a modern wine with a deep ruby color and velvety with notes.
On the nose, young and powerful aroma, rich of black fruits, wood and licorice. On the palate, fruity sweetness with blueberry and cherry, medium acidity and spicy. A well-balanced wine, remaining intense with a long finish.
The grapes, previously destemmed, go through a low-temperature pre-fermentative maceration for 24 hours. The alcoholic fermentation is done in small stainless vats with temperature control for 12 days. The wine aged for 5 months in French and American oak barrels.
The alcohol level is 14%.
Pair it with beef or poultry meats, or pasta.
