O Malhadinhas Rosé 2019, from Távora-Varosa

O Malhadinhas regional rosé wine was produced by the Cooperativa Agrícola do Távora in Távora-Varosa wine region of Portugal.

Cooperativa Agrícola do Távora is located in the Demarcated Region of Távora-Varosa, between the Douro and Dão regions.

The granitic soil, poor in limestone, the high altitude, and the continental temperate climate makes it a privileged place for wine production.

This regional wine is labeled Terras de Cister IGP. Drinks made from grape varieties other than those permitted are labeled this way. These are regional white, red or rosé wines, as well as aromatic, quality sparkling wines.

This wine is a blend of the Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Aragonez, Tinta Amarela, and Malvasia Preta grape varieties.

It presents a clear appearance and a medium-intensity salmon color.

Delicious floral aroma and discreet aroma of fresh red berries, notes of raspberry, strawberry and blackcurrant.

The palate reveals intense fresh red fruits in a balanced and elegant set. A dry wine with a smooth texture, and delicate tannins and acidity. Medium aftertaste with a light sweetness.

12,5% vol.

It should be served between 7-10 ºC.

It is suggested to accompany starters, sushi, seafood, pasta, grilled meats and salads.

A simple and easy wine to drink, well chilled is perfect for hot days.
